The past month has been focused on refining key features while improving the overall user experience. We have made a number of improvements to the platform, including the addition of Workflow Templates, support for custom IPSec appliances, and a number of minor UI improvements.

Workflow Templatesโ€‹

We are excited to announce the release of Workflow Templates. Workflow Templates are pre-built workflows that solve common use cases. You can use these to quickly create new workflows.

We have created a number of templates to help you get started, and we will be adding more templates in the future.

IPSec Custom Appliancesโ€‹

We have added support for custom IPSec appliances. You can now use your own IPSec appliance with Retrohook.

UI Improvementsโ€‹

We have made a number of UI improvements to make the platform more user-friendly. You will first notice we moved the workspace selector to the main dropdown in the top right corner of the screen. This makes it easier to switch between workspaces and minimize confusion.

Notificationsโ€‹

In liu of the new real-time socket, we have added toast notifications to the platform. These notifications will appear in the top middle of the screen and will disappear after a few seconds. This will help you stay informed about what is happening in the platform.

"Refresh" buttonโ€‹

When configuring environments and tunnels, users have had to leverage a refresh button to fetch the latest status of their Retrohook deployment or tunnel creation. This button is being replaced with a WSS socket automatically keeping the application in sync with the latest status of your deployment or tunnel.

You will also see this real-time capability used in logs and numeric statistics.

Bugs & Other Minor Changesโ€‹

  • Fixed a workflow builder UI bug, this was improperly parsing the sample message for event mapping, (runtime was unaffected).
  • We removed the requirement for a unique message identifier for workflows in the developer environment.
  • Fixed a bug where unauthenticated environments would break the UI (runtime was unaffected).
